Following consensus recommendations were evolved during the Conference.

The professional bodies and concerned quarters of the government are persuaded to initiate necessary steps in this regard.

                               ii.            Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery

                              iii.            Colorectal Surgery

The working groups shall formulate their recommendations that shall be notified by the Society of Surgeons to the concerned quarters.

3.      In order to promote research and development in surgical practice, it is recommended to develop the research Wet laboratories in all major medical institutions of the country with provisions of experimentation and training on animal and cadavers.

4.      There is a dire need to structure and standardize the curricula, training programme and evaluation in undergraduate as well as postgraduate medical education, mandatory development of department of medical education and skill laboratories in all medical colleges of the country as per PMDC recommendations should be instituted.
