CRICKET STADIUM AT AYUB MEDICAL COLLEGE
Congratulation Ayubians, for getting a state-of-the-art International Standard Cricket Stadium in the premises!
With efforts of the Principal, Professor Tariq Saeed Mufti, and after agreement by the KMU Authorities, a state of-the-art Cricket Stadium has been sanctioned by the Pakistan Crickets Board to be built in Ayub Medical College, Abbottabad. The ground breaking ceremony will be held on Monday the 25th February 2008 at 12:00 PM. The PCB authorities will sign an MOU with the KMU through AMC and formal ground breaking ceremony will be held in the playgrounds of the College.
Prof. Tariq Mufti had been working hard to provide the best possible facilities to the students and staff of Ayub Medical College. It was his dream to have the best sports complex in his Institution for which he put in all his efforts and very kindly, Dr. Nasim Ashraf, Chairman PCB, agreed to build a cricket stadium of international standard here in Ayub Medical College. Prof. Mufti presented the case to KMU authorities and the VC Prof. Muhammad Daud Khan accepted this proposal for the welfare of Ayubians. Prof. Mufti's dream came true and as the first phase worth 70-80 million rupees a cricket stadium is planned to be built in Ayub Medical College during the current fiscal year with extension in the next year.
The stadium will not only cater for students of Ayub Medical College but will also be used for University events as well as selected National and International matches. The stadium will have full facilities of ODI's with full medical and sports cover and all other facilities.
