| Distribution of 'Naway Sahah' Laptops took place in Ayub Medical College to hand over Laptops in the 1st phase to brilliant students of Ayub Medical College. A total of 1151 laptops out of 3850 awarded to KMU students are won by Ayubians, and 898 laptops have been distributed to Ayubians in phase-1. The Vice Chancellor KMU, Prof. Mohammad Hafeezullah presided over the ceremony. | The KMU has announced the result of 1st Prof. MBBS Part-I. Miss Ayesha Tahir of AMC topped KMU with 508 marks, Mr. Issa Khan stood 2nd in AMC and 4th in KMU with 495 marks. Miss Uzma Walid got 485 marks and was placed 3rd in AMC. Syeda Ayesha Zaheer stood 4th in AMC securing 472 marks, and Miss Nimra Naeem got 5th position in AMC with 471 marks. | The KMU has announced result of 2nd Professional MBBS 2011-Annual. According to the notification 1092 students appeared, and 620 (56.78%) passed. Ayub Medical College had 64.46%, KMC 74.13, SMC 48.10, GMC 50.57, KGMC 68.12, BMC 42.57, WMC 42, AIMC 24, and JAMC 19.35% passing results. May Almighty Allah rest the departed soul in eternal peace and tranquility and give his family courage and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. According to the results, Grand Doctors' Alliance has bagged 410 votes, and The Democrates obtained 269 votes, while 10 votes were rejected. Thus a total of 689 votes were casted. The Democrates have congratulated the winners, the Grand Doctors' Alliance, and expressed their full support to GDA for the cause of the community. Prof. Syed Humayun Shah, Vice Principal has taken over the charge of the office in a simple ceremony held in the Principal's Office. Later, a Farewell Lunch was arranged by the faculty and staff of the College in the honour of the outgoing Principal. Prof. Tariq Mufti's services for the cause of medical education, the medical community and the College were highly applauded by the new Principal, Prof. S. Humayun Shah. Prof. Mufti expressed his feelings of love for the College and reiterated his offer to remain in touch with the college for any services if and when required. The farewell lunch was attended by all faculty and most of the staff and was one of the great gatherings in the history of AMC. |

| Abbottabad and areas around faced a heavy eartquake (7.8) at 8:52 AM today the 8th September 2005 which resulted in damage to many buildings and have claimed many lives in Abbottabad, Mansehra, Balakot, Garhi Habibullah, Muzafarabad and areas north to this region. All hospitals in the region are on Red Alert receiving victims of the quake. More than 200 injured persons have been registered in Ayub Teaching Hospital till now (3:30 PM) and we fear more from other areas when the blocked roads are opened in due time. |
